Nursery 3’s Blog

Welcome to our School Nursery. In our nursery you will come across the following staff; Mrs Scott (Teacher) Mrs Carroll, Miss Welch, Miss Cooper, Mrs Robson and Mrs Bell.

We have had a very busy and successful 12 months, during which our children have thrived.

On the 23rd November 2022 we had our most recent OFSTED inspection. The inspectors wrote

“Children in early years are calm and concentrate well in activities. Strong relationships
with key adults ensure two-year-olds settle quickly. … Staff model activities well. …. Regular singing of counting songs and rhymes helps children understand the language of number.”

We are very excited for this year. We are looking forward to welcoming the 2 year olds that have turned 3, into our 3year old nursery room and also meeting lots of new friends who are coming to join us.

We are very lucky to have a spacious nursery room and direct outdoor access. Come rain or shine, we use the outdoors to develop our learning.

Autumn Term

Below you will find our Autumn medium term plan.

We have an overarching topic of “Me and my family”. We have planned experiences for the children relating to this topic, but we also develop the children’s learning by following their interests and planning activities to extend their learning based on what we have observed in their play.
