Uniform

We believe that school uniform is important because it:

  • Fosters equality,
  • Looks smart.
  • Contributes to a sense of belonging.
  • Fosters a feeling of pride. 

Extreme colouring of hair or hair styles such as Mohicans, tribal patterns and shaven heads are not permitted. Nail varnish should not be worn.

Shoes – These should be black school shoes, no brightly coloured laces/logos are allowed. Footwear should be suitable for children to play outside in, no open toes/high heels.

Earrings or space savers must not be worn for school in the interests of health & safety.

In the interest of Health & Safety the Headteacher and the Governing Body has the right to decide whether certain types of clothing or particular items are deemed suitable to wear in school.

Uniform

Is now available for you to order online from Total Sport NE Ltd, Hendon, Sunderland SR1 2JD and can be delivered to your home for a charge of £5.00 per order OR you can order and it will be delivered to the school office for you to collect.  We will no longer sell uniform or book bags from the school office.

Girls– navy blue/grey skirt or pinafore dress, royal blue sweatshirt or cardigan, blue/white polo shirt. Summer dresses if desired, royal blue/white and navy/white.

Boys– navy/grey trousers, blue/white shirt, royal blue sweatshirt, blue/white polo shirt

Outdoor/Indoor PE kit

Please ensure that you have provided your child with a PE kit

Navy shorts, blue/white t-shirt, navy or black jogging bottoms and suitable PE footwear. All children are provided with a PE bag which remains the property of Ryhope Infant School Academy.

It is essential that you put your child’s name in all articles of clothing, including footwear/hats etc.

Pre-loved Pre-owned uniform

We have a selection of pre-loved/pre-owned uniform in our school reception area. It is freshly washed, ironed and ready to wear. The items are free but if you would like to make a small donation we will gratefully accept

The address will be automatically collected and logged as part of the connection of your computer to our web server and may be used to determine the total number of visits to each part of the site.
