2018-2019 Class Blog (Previous Academic Year)

Summer Term

We have been learning about healthy eating and keeping fit. We have been making delicious fruit kebabs and reading the story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

We have enjoyed working with Little Movers during our PE sessions. We moved to music, played team games and dressed up and moved like animals. Our dancers of the day were super excited to take their trophy home!

Spring Term

In the Spring term we did lots of wonderful things and had great fun!

We had some very special visitors for two weeks, 10 hen’s eggs were delivered in an incubator and we watched 8 of them hatch. There were 4 girls and 4 boys  and we gave them all a name. Look at how they grew over the two weeks…

We had a fun filled morning on our visit to Barnes Park! We fed the ducks and played ring games in the band stand. We then went to the play park where we got to play on the swings, slides, climbing frames and it even had a big sand pit. We finished off the visit with a cup of hot chocolate and a biscuit. We had such a fun day.

This term we are learning all about under the sea! We have read the Rainbow Fish who taught us all about sharing and then Commotion in the Ocean which is all about the animals that live under the sea. We have made a giant octopus and lots colourful rainbow fish as well as starfish biscuits. Every Wednesday we bake to make our wonderful Wednesday snack.
